| Case name - Adjacent - fence | |
| ISSUE - A landscape feature has to be on or adjacent to arable land. When there is a fence between the landscape feature and the arable land, can the landscape feature be considered as not adjacent? | REPLY - A simple fence is not to be considered as an element preventing landscape features from being adjacent to arable land. Hence, this hedge should be considered as a potential EFA and therefore included in the EFA-layer. When performing an on-the-spot check, the fact whether this hedge is really at the disposal of the beneficiary declaring it should be carefully assessed. |
