| ISSUE - Ditches as EFA are limited in width. The negative side effect is when a ditch with curves which meanders through the fields will not be as wide on all points. When the ditch is roughly around the 6 meters that will have the effect shown in the sketch.The ditch which is on average 6 meters but will result in 3 smaller particles. | REPLY - The ditch on the picture seems to be surrounded by permanent grassland and does thus not qualify as an EFA. However, where Article 45 of Regulation (EU) NO 639/2014 states a maximum or minimum width for an EFA type, only those parts of linear elements qualify as EFA that satisfy the width constraints. Only parts fulfilling the constraints should be included in the EFA-layer. In other words, the total actual object should not be indicated, but only those parts of it, which meet the widths. |
