| Case name - Field road between arable land and ditch | |
| ISSUE - This case involves field road between arable land and ditch. Can we use ditch as an EFA element (LF) in this case? Case of group/line of trees instead of a road? | REPLY - Linear landscape features or buffer strips are considered to be "adjacent to arable land" when they are physically touching an agricultural parcel of arable land on the longest edge of the concerned EFAs. Due to the ineligible path the ditch is not in physical contact with the arable land and therefore cannot qualify as EFA. |
