Case name - EFA assigned to trees in line
ISSUE - In the workshop presentations (presentation S6 by W Devos, slide 27), it is suggested to consider as distance the total length between first and latest tree (not accounting for small variations in the line, due to individual trees) (as in right sketch) If the line of trees also makes the limit of a parcel, we thought it would be logical to digitalize using the most possible details, and to account for the digitalized length (as in left sketch). REPLY - In order not to increase the converted area, newly created lines (curves) representing linear EFAs, should normally comprise as few as needed points to locate the feature and establish the length correctly. If possible only the point which indicates the start of the feature and the point indicating the end of the feature. However, where the line (curve) is already available in LPIS as an accurate existing boundary of a parcel, it should simply be copied including al the existing points and only the start point and the end point should be indicated.
